Dr. Kirwin, DVM, CVA

Veterinarian

Dr. Kirwin received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2000. He became the owner of the Day Heights Veterinary Clinic in 2005. In 2010 he graduated from The Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. He has a special interest in surgery, as well as acupuncture and herbal therapies. In his very limited spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs. He is a member of AVMA, OVMA, and AATCVM.

Dr. Manharth, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Manharth received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 from The Ohio State University. She joined the team at DHVC in 2003. After graduation, she primarily worked in zoo medicine, including Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, The Toledo Zoo, and the Detroit Zoo. She has a special interest in diagnostic medicine, ultrasound, behavior, and exotic and wildlife medicine. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, gardening, photography, and traveling to remote areas to study wildlife. Dr. Manharth has many pets at home, including a Pit Bull Terrier, two Jack Russell Terriers, and one cat. She is a member of AVMA, AAZV, AAFP, WDA, ARAV, AVSAB, and is a volunteer vet for Raptor inc. 

Dr. Stearns, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Stearns is our newest addition to the hospital! She grew up in the Dayton, OH area then moved to Ithaca, NY to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. She graduated with her DVM in 2016 and moved directly to Utah, where for 4 years she had the opportunity to work with several avian specialists and treat a variety of exotic animals in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Stearns is excited to be back in Ohio and explore the Cincinnati area. Dr. Stearns loves all creatures, whether furred, feathered, or scaled and is seeing small mammals and reptiles as well as dogs and cats at Day Heights Veterinary Clinic.
