Wellness Care for Every Pet

We provide wellness care for dogs and cats through every stage of life.

What to Expect During a Wellness Appointment

When your pet comes in for a wellness exam at our animal hospital, we will cover a variety of care including:

Your veterinarian will perform a thorough physical examination to assess your pet’s health. This includes examining your pet’s vision, hearing, and heart as well as the teeth, skin, coat, vital signs, body condition, and joints. Your veterinarian will also use their hands to palpate the adnominal region. This exam allows us to detect visible symptoms of any changes in your pet’s health.

To gain a better picture of your pet’s overall health, your veterinarian will perform annual lab testing including blood analysis and urinalysis to evaluate the internal function of your pet and potentially any early signs of disease. Early detection means more effective treatment for your companion which means the sooner they can get back to their normal routine.

Day Heights Veterinary Clinic has an online pharmacy available where you can request prescription medications and other products such as special diets, supplements, and more, to be delivered right to your door.

We provide full diagnostic and treatment expertise to offer an accurate diagnosis for your pet and peace of mind for you. Internal medicine consists of the diagnosis and treatment of disease inside the body such as:

  • Pancreatitis
  • Kidney/Urinary disease
  • Internal infections
  • Cancer
  • Diseases of the liver, gallbladder, or endocrine system (e.g., diabetes, adrenal, thyroid, etc.) and heart disease

We place a special emphasis on collaborating with pet owners and helping to educate them about their pet’s health and the care we provide. We’re here to provide your pet with the highest quality of care and are always here to answer questions regarding your pet’s care and well-being.

We recommend regular blood screenings for all pets to help provide your veterinarian with important information about your pet’s health and detecting diseases before they become a serious issue. Several diseases don’t cause outward symptoms until it has progressed. Early detection can help us to provide prompt treatment and improve their quality of life.
